Minister of Finance Temenuzhka Petkova and President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Odile Renaud-Basso signed in Brussels an Agreement on Cooperation and Activities of the Bank in Bulgaria. The government is authorised the Minister of Finance to conduct negotiations and to sign the document on behalf of our country.

The EBRD is one of the significant investors in Bulgaria. Since the beginning of its operations until 31 January 2025, the EBRD has invested €4.791 milliard to finance 307 projects in Bulgaria in the areas of sustainable infrastructure, finance, industry, trade and agribusiness.

The conclusion of the Cooperation Agreement with the EBRD is appropriate in view of maintaining good partnership relations with the international institution and favours the expansion of the bank activities in Bulgaria.
